Safer Internet Day 2019

Date: 4th Feb 2019 @ 7:27pm

The internet is a wonderful place that offers so many opportunities for children and young people to learn, connect and play. As the internet is always changing, being able to keep up to date with your child’s internet use can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially if you feel that your child may know more about technology than you do. Safer Internet Day provides a brilliant and fun way to discuss and explore online safety with your child. By being part of something bigger, talking about how to stay safe online can be fun, engaging and accessible!

The UK Safer Internet Centre wants as many people as possible to get involved in the day and think about how to make the internet a better and safer place. There are lots of ways that you and your family can get involved in the day and also share details of the day with others online. The more people who know about the day, the more likely your child is going to think about the issues that are really important in keeping them safe online.
